CEO, Co-founder
Mateo runs the commercial side of Helix: scoping pilots and building the business case that gets them funded. He came to it from electrical engineering at UBC, by way of a co-op at TRIUMF, Canada's national particle accelerator centre, and the William Taylor Scholarship in Radiocommunications. He led the assessment with Fisheries and Oceans Canada behind the published case study.

Cohen runs the technical side of Helix: the hardware, the software, and Horizon. He designed the electrical hardware behind every sensing modality himself, pulsed eddy current, eddy current array, electrical capacitance tomography and the Sensor Wrap, down to the components of the wrap. He leads the electronics and software teams that build on them.

Managing Director of CEC Mining Systems, CEO of Canadian Critical Minerals Research, and a director of AMIX Systems. Thirteen years at CEC in solid-liquid separation and tailings handling. He advises Helix on mining: which slurry and tailings lines are worth monitoring, and how a mine buys it.

Founder and principal consultant at Product Muse AI. Before that she was VP of products at Puppet and a VP of product management at Dell Technologies, following fifteen years at Intel and product roles at Amazon on Echo and AWS. She advises Helix on commercialization: pricing, channel, and turning pilots into repeat business.
